    • Chief Vigilance Officer(CVO)

    Vigilance Division of Ministry of Defence (other than Deptt. of Defence Production) looks after the vigilance matters pertaining to Service HQs/ Inter Service Organizations under Department of Defence, Department of Defence Research & Development and Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare with respect to

    • Complaints regarding corrupt practices, irregularities, etc.
    • Vigilance cases of Civilians where the President is the Appointing Authority.
    • Consultation with CBI and CVC.
    • Grant of sanction for prosecution of Civilians and Service officers involved in Vigilance cases, etc.
    • Granting of vigilance clearance to all officers/ staff of MoD, Gp.A – officers/ staff of all Defence establishments including DGDE, DRDO, MES, CAO, DAD, etc.
