Defence (Establishment.I/Group.I)Section

D (Estt. I/Gp. I) Section deals with all establishment and administrative matters (excluding fixation of pay and grant of all kind of pension and other related matters) in respect of all Gazetted Officers of the Ministry of Defence (Secretariat). The Section also deals with the subject matters relating to: creation/abolition of posts, framing of Recruitment Rules, reimbursement of medical claims under CCS (MA) Rules and CGHS Rules; disciplinary cases under CCS (CCA) Rules, 1965; CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 and AIS (Conduct) Rules, 1968 in respect of all gazetted and non-gazetted officers (excluding MTS) of the Ministry of Defence (Sectt.). Apart from this, various misc. matters like issue of NOC for foreign visit during leave and for higher studies etc. circulation of orders and instructions issued by all the nodal Departments/Ministries on various incentives and allowances to Govt. employees, vacancy circulars, circulars relating to various training courses, circulars of general interest, security instructions, etc., translations of the communication received in regional languages, maintenance of ACRs of Gazetted Officers, issue of temporary/permanent SLICs, maintenance of Service Books, all matters related to issue of Passports, including safe custody of Passports (Diplomatic/Official/ordinary), matters related to invigilation duties, in respect of all employees of the Ministry of Defence (Sectt.)., are also being dealt with by the Section.
